The Picklemens Cottage - 2014

Picture
From what we could tell this place has been empty for a long while, once known on the circuit as the "Sewingmens Cottage" due to the abundance of sewing machines strewn around the property. Sadly these have now all been pilfered and I could not spot one. Still some nice bits remain that give an insight to life in the old place. The dates on the pickles were around the early 1970's, this would seem to tie in with the old Woseley Car in what was once the garage.

Whilst wondering around the site I noted a lot of these old black batteries laying around, what raised my curiosity is what hey had written on them, they stated that they remain the property of "Her Majesty's Government" upon further inspection the batteries stated that they were for use within a Medresco. A bit of research and it turns out theta a Medresco is an early form of hearing aid.
